Paddling Beyond the Main Stream – Kris Kadwell
“Paddling Beyond The Mainstream” on CKHA, 100.9 Canoe FM is an eclectic radio program featuring mostly acoustic based, Canadian independent singer/songwriters from a multitude of musical genres. Portions of the program often present a “Featured front seat paddler” including several songs from an artist’s albums and “Going with the current” featuring recently released songs and albums. Other programs may revolve around a variety of many themes including songs relating to the seasons, earth day, mother’s and father’s day, Canada day and many more themes.
I’ve really enjoyed exposing and hosting hundreds of musical artists and bands (from the community and beyond) live in the radio station broadcasting studio. I feel very gratified when our valued radio station listeners frequently call or text during my programs to express their enjoyment of songs from artists they previously were unfamiliar with but now recognize them as some of their favorites.
Join me 7:00 to 9:00 pm.on Thursday night’s for an adventurous canoe paddling journey exploring music beyond the mainstream.
