Our Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) funded Journalist, Elizabeth Oakley produces three high quality news stories per week, with each story designed to inform and engage the community. All stories will be aired on Canoe FM at noon, Monday through Friday, with breaking news given immediate priority - Elizabeth's news program is called County Closeup.
County Closeup is a deep dive into the issues that are affecting Haliburton County - Elizabeth will be reporting on stories you have asked us to look into and stories that are important to you as a permanent or seasonal resident in Haliburton County.
County Closeup segments will be archived as podcasts.
