County Closeup is a deep dive into the issues that are affecting Haliburton County – Elizabeth will be reporting on stories you have asked us to look into and stories that are important to you as a permanent or seasonal resident in Haliburton County.

A passionate believer in the power of well-chosen words, Elizabeth is an experienced storyteller. She has worked in a variety of journalism mediums, including print, magazines and television and I love telling thought-provoking and impactful stories. For her, it’s about what’s happening behind the headlines, how people are affected by what’s going on in their communities. Originally from Eastern Ontario, she studied journalism in Toronto and settled in Barrie, where she raised three children before moving to Irondale, Ontario. She’s known for her curiosity, eagerness to learn and for her quirky sense of humor. Elizabeth is pleased to be a member of the Canoe FM team.

New Episodes of County Closeup debut each Friday at Noon with segments repeating from Monday to Thursday at Noon. You will hear County Closeup on Saturday at 1pm and then on Sunday at 8am.
