Canoe FM is pleased to be able to bring to you a new program about our Indigenous People. Your host for this program will be Larry O’Connor.Be sure to tune in the last Wednesday night of every month at 6:00pm ( or the following Friday at 11:00 am) to hear “Tales from the Big Canoe” on Canoe FM for a program that includes interviews with Indigenous persons from every walk of life.
Larry O’Connor is an Odawa Anishinaabe Knowledge Holder, Eagle Staff Carrier, and Citizen Sheshegwaning First Nation residing in Haliburton County. Larry promotes understanding of the Anishinaabe culture, truths, and relationships in Canada, drawing on his personal learning journey and teachings he has received along the way. Larry is an avid beader, an encouragable Woodland Powwow Dancer, and he is the host of CANOE FM’s "Tales from the Big Canoe." (Haliburton Highlands only Indigenous radio program.)
