Township of Minden Hills Appoints New Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)
We are very pleased to announce the hiring of Cynthia Fletcher as the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Township of Minden Hills, effective November 23, 2023.
After an extensive recruitment process, Minden Hills Council is pleased to welcome Cynthia to our team and to the Township.
“I am extremely pleased that Cynthia will be our new CAO.” said Mayor Bob Carter. “With her leadership, our team will deliver the service that Minden Hills requires as we continue to grow in this changing world.”

Cynthia brings with her over 25 years of senior leadership experience in the public and municipal sectors, with multi level experience in strategic leadership, planning, development, infrastructure, and operational excellence.
Cynthia’s professional experience includes the Waterloo Region District School Board, City of Kitchener, City of Peterborough, and Township of Georgian Bluffs. Cynthia is a CAO Mentor for the Ontario Municipal Administrators Association (OMAA), sits on the Board for Inclusion Action Ontario and is a past board member with the Ontario Building Envelope Council.
We are fortunate to have Cynthia join our team as the new CAO. Her commitment and strong focus on inspiring service excellence, innovation, collaboration, and workplace cultural development will serve our community well.

A segment of TOK Coachlines’ business includes two scheduled bus routes operating 3 days a week (Mon, Wed and Fri) between Haliburton and Toronto, via Lindsay, and 3 days a week (Mon, Wed and Fri) between Southampton / Port Elgin and Toronto, via Pearson International Airport. TOK Coachlines has several buses equipped with wheelchair lifts. Passengers who need this service are asked to contact Dispatch office 1-800-387-7097 ext. 247, at least 72 hours in advance, in order to assign a bus equipped with a lift. The following places of business have generously agreed to serve as the Bus Stop or Agent in their community.

Minden Santa Claus Parade Road Closure
SUBJECT: Santa Claus Parade Road Closure
A rolling road closure will take place on November 18, 2023, in order to accommodate
the annual Santa Claus Parade. The parade is expected to take place from 11:00 AM to
12:30 PM.
The parade route is as follows:
• Starting from the SG Nesbitt Arena parking lot following Parkside Street to the
Bobcaygeon Road
• Bobcaygeon Road to Newcastle Street
• Newcastle Street to St. Germaine Street
• St. Germaine to Prince Street
• Prince Street to Milne Street.
The following streets and/or intersections may be temporarily closed:
• Parkside Street at Parkside Street
• Bobcaygeon Road at Parkside Street
• Bobcaygeon Road at McKay Street
• Bobcaygeon Road at Deep Bay Road (County Road 2)
• Bobcaygeon Road at Water Street
• Bobcaygeon Road at Newcastle Street
• Saint Germaine Street at Newcastle Street
• Saint Germaine at Pritchard Street
• Saint Germaine at Prince Street
• Prince Street at Milne Street
This will be a rolling road closure, which means the roads and intersections will be
closed as needed for the parade to pass and opened as the parade progresses.
Residents are asked to watch for signage and pedestrians during this time and to be
prepared for delays between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
All emergency services have been notified and emergency vehicles will be able to gain
access to all streets should an unexpected emergency occur.
Minden Hills Cultural Centre Prepares for a New Exhibit

Subject: Minden Hills Cultural Centre prepares for new exhibit
The Minden Hills Cultural Centre, including the Agnes Jamieson Gallery, will be closed from November 27 to December 3 as we prepare the gallery and install an exhibit featuring artwork from our permanent collection. We will re-open to the public on Tuesday, December 4 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
