MEMO - HHHS Board of Directors Appoints Interim President & CEO
Dear Community,
On behalf of the Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS) Board of Directors, I am thrilled to
announce that Jennifer Burns West has accepted the position of Interim President and CEO of HHHS,
effective September 6th, 2025.
Jennifer joined HHHS’ Senior Leadership team in September 2023 as Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) and
Vice President of Clinical and Community Support Services. Since then, her impact on the organization
has been very significant. With a clear vision and unwavering commitment to patient care, Jennifer has
built a strong and talented team, strengthened relationships with community partners, and worked
closely with staff across departments to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Jennifer has led key initiatives to streamline clinical technology systems, enhance care delivery, and
reinforce a people-first culture—positioning our organization to meet the
evolving needs of our patients, residents and clients. Given Jennifer’s passion to
deliver quality healthcare and her commitment to our community HHHS is
confident that she will continue the positive momentum that is thriving at the
organization.
Jennifer, you are a trusted and visionary leader who brings tremendous
experience, energy, and compassion to everything you do. You have already
made a remarkable difference in our organization, and we are thrilled to
welcome you into this interim role as we continue our search for a permanent
President and CEO.
Filling the role of Interim President and CEO marks the completion of the first step of the Board’s
succession plan. HHHS will be collaborating with a firm to recruit an individual who will continue to
enhance and optimize healthcare in Haliburton. We look forward to Jennifer’s leadership during this
important time. Further information regarding the Chief Nursing Executive role will be forthcoming.
