(DYSART ET AL, ON) - Members of the Haliburton Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), are investigating a collision that occurred during a watercross racing event at a local resort.

On Sunday, September 27, 2026, shortly before 1:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a collision between two snowmobiles on a body of water located on the property of a local resort. A 29-year-old male from Bancroft was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation into the collision is being conducted with assistance from the OPP Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
