2026 Nomination Period for the 2026 Municipal Elections

Are you interested in being a Member of Council or School Board Trustee?

The Term of Council is 4 years!

Requirements under the Municipal Election Act:

  • Nomination Period:
    • May 1, 2026 to August 20, 2026 (regular business hours)
    • August 21, 2026 (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
  • Candidates must submit signatures of 25 eligible voters, in their municipality, to support their nomination. (not applicable for School Board Trustee(s))
