The Township of Minden Hills is currently seeking resident members to serve on the Property Standards Committee for the 2024-2026 term.

The purpose of the Property Standards Committee

The Property Standards Committee hears appeals by property owners or their agents who have received an Order of The Property Standards from an Officer of the Township.

The Property Standards Committee may confirm the Property Standards Order or modify or quash the Order or extend the time for complying with the Order provided that in the opinion of the Committee, the general intent and purpose of the Property Standards By-Law are maintained.

Meetings are held on an as required basis, they are scheduled once an appeal is received. Members receive remuneration for each regular meeting attended. The Committee must hold a hearing when an Order that has been served is not satisfied with the terms and conditions of the Order.
