Judith ‘Judy’ Johnson
(Resident of Minden, Ontario)
It is with a heavy heart once again that I have to let you know that our amazing Friday office volunteer, Judy Johnson has passed away. Judy had been in and out of the hospital since August.
Judy began volunteering for Canoe FM in April of 2014…she soon became a very integral part of our Bingo Team. Judy did the counting, stamping and stapling of our bingo sheets…and she truly loved her role.
Judy added levity to our Fridays…she was so much fun to work with. As most of you know Judy did have a bit of a problem with balance…and there were a number of times that Ron had to pick her up off the floor. We were always worried about Judy’s balance, but she indicated that she would be falling no matter where she was…and she would just laugh it off. I think she really like Ron picking her up.
Judy previously worked for Wilberforce Foodland and the Municipality of Dysart.
The Canoe FM Bingo Team will miss Judy immensely…all the work she did for us to ensure bingo went off without a hitch each week.
Judy we will miss your spirit on Fridays.
I will keep everyone posted with arrangements….as I am made aware.

His music and guitar playing has been influenced by many musicians and styles over the years. He receives great audience response, especially for his songwriting and acoustic guitar playing. They performed in the Eastern U.S. and Canada as featured performers and as a lead-in for major acts such as Tom Rush, Hall & Oates, George Carlin and Alex Taylor.
