Haliburton Highlands Sports Hall of Fame makes the decision to postpone October 23rd inaugural induction ceremony
Scott LaRue, Chair of the Haliburton Highlands Sport Hall of Fame has announced that due to the ongoing uncertainty around Covid 19 the decision been made to postpone the much anticipated inaugural induction ceremony. 11 athletes, 3 builders and 3 teams have been selected as the first entries to the Hall and were to be inducted in a ceremony originally scheduled to be held October 23rd.
“The Board felt that it would be best to postpone the event due to the ongoing uncertainty around Covid. Naturally we are very disappointed but we look forward to the time when it will be safe to bring everyone together for a wonderful celebration of the inductees’ many contributions and accomplishments. We will be watching the situation closely and plan to reschedule when it looks appropriate to do so. “ said Mr. LaRue.
